Chris Palomba
The founder of Signature Park, Chris Palomba – with a proven record of success in business and management – was destined to be an entrepreneur. Chris, who is married with four children, years ago identified a lack of quality playing fields in the region as his children rose through the ranks in their various sports and activities. He built a baseball field in his backyard so his son’s team could practice at any time, and he granted use of the field to other local players. Soon, youth recreational and travel teams from all over Gwinnett County were practicing at the Palomba residence five nights a week. Recognizing that this shortage of facilities was a widespread problem, Chris conceived the idea for Signature Park, which would provide a place for players, coaches and families to enjoy sports and other activities without the worry of practice/playing field availability.

A Florida native, Chris spent many of his formative years in New York and it was there, as a teenager in NY, that he started a wholesale tire business out of a trailer and turned it into a 40,000 square foot retail/wholesale building called American Tires, which earned over $1 million in revenue. From there, Chris returned to Florida as one of the youngest managers for Envirotest Systems, a statewide, centralized motor vehicle inspection facility. A year later, he was promoted to Regional Director of Site Development and traveled throughout the Midwest and Northeast. Chris and his family relocated to Atlanta in 1995 with AT&T. The company had recruited Chris and offered him a position within its wireless division as Director of Operations/Site Development for the implementation of Personal Communication Services (PCS) and wireless technologies infrastructure. In 1998, Chris launched TLC Communications, LLC, a cellular tower construction and site acquisition company. As the CEO, Chris influenced multi-million dollar deals and made decisions that affected large segments of the telecommunications/technology arenas at a time when the economy saw tremendous growth in those sectors.

Chris, a former baseball player, is well-known and respected throughout the state of Georgia as a businessman, coach, and contributor to amateur baseball, having served as a coach/instructor for the past 10 years. “I believe in giving back to the community,” says Chris, “and I understand how success in life should allow you to help others.”
